De-Ann Weekes, DRSD Founder

Core-ography

Born on the beautiful Caribbean island of Trinidad, De-Ann uses her Afro-Caribbean culture to encourage young men and women to believe in themselves. Her vision for D Rhythm Soul Dance Experience is to capture hearts through the creative and interpretive use of Creole dance styles mixed with classic dance techniques. Her work can only be measured by the volumes spoken of her by others.

Taylor Hunt

Samba Fundamentals

Taylor is a dance artist, fitness trainer and holistic wellness advocate based in Canada. She graduated from Ryerson University with a BFA in Performance Dance and has worked and trained internationally throughout her ongoing dance career. Dance has taken her around the globe from the US, Austria, Brazil, Japan, Cuba and back again. 

Her intensive training and professional experience has guided her toward leading the next generation of dance artists through workshops and master classes. She is a guest instructor at a number of drop-in studios throughout the country including City Dance Corps, The Underground, DJD Dance Centre, and DanceLifeX. When she isn’t in the studio choreographing, teaching cultural history and honing technical skills with her students, she is adjudicating national competitions across the country.
